Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you give discounts for bulk orders?

A: Yes, bulk prices vary by species and quantity. Call for specific pricing.

Q: Do I need to fertilize my trees? If so how often?

A: It is recommended that you fertilize your trees at least once a year, but preferably two times a year. It is suggested to fertilize in the springtime, especially fruit trees.

Q: What is the recommended spacing I should use when planting my trees?

A: It depends on the intended use of your trees. If your trees are going to be used to draw in wildlife, then they will need to be spaced further apart (Actual spacing varies by species). Please call for additional information on spacing your trees. We are available to help you determine the correct spacing needs.

Q: Does it matter what time of year I plant certain species of trees?

A: The best time of year to plant your trees varies depending on what zone you are in. However, for most zones the best time to plant is between fall and early spring. Planting your trees in the fall allows the trees to root into ground before the dormant season.

Q: Do I need to pay attention to the depth that I plant my trees?

A: Yes, the hole needs to be twice as wide as, but not deeper than the rootball. The soil should be level with the top of the rootball.
